Turn cleaning for short term rentals is more than just cleaning. Of course the turn cleaning revolves around cleaning, but checking the house as a whole is just as important. Outside of the normal cleaning routine we’re going to go over what we look for during our turn cleanings for short term rentals.
1. Supplies
- What supplies are we running low on at the house? Ideally to give the owner 1-2 week supply notice when we’ll run out is ideal. We don’t want to be running out of things and be ill prepared for a guest checking in later that day. There’s plenty of supplies to count for and is usually specific to each short term rental but here’s what we look for. Toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, coffee pods to name a few. We also will make sure we’re good on things like toiletries, towels, and any bedding that needs to be restocked.
2. Damage to the Property
- It’s important to report any damage or things missing to the owner as soon as we get on site so the damage can be reported and fixed as soon as possible. If there’s anything missing as well to the property that we notice that should be reported. If items aren’t reported and multiple turns go by it gets harder to track down who caused the initial damage to the property.
3. CLEAN!!!
- Lastly, we clean. Our goal is for guests to feel like their checking into the four seasons. Sheets should be crisp, toilet paper should be folded neatly, towels presented nicely and every inch of the home looking tidy. During our turn cleaning we keep the guest at the forefront of our process. The first impression when a guests walks into the Airbnb or VRBO is everything and we know that!
